West Chester's Last Time Out:
West Chester swam at the Maryland Terrapin Cup from Nov. 16-18. During the meet, the women placed 13th with 58 points, while the men took fifth with 450.5 points.

The men were led by Rodney King in the 1650 free (4th/16:08.46), Devin Canfield in the 200 back (7th/1:52.06), Bartosz Ostrowski in the 100 free (5th/45.74), Marek Malopolski in the 200 breast (10th/2:05.87) and Joerg Zimmermann in the 200 fly (8th/1:57.01).

The women were paced by Katie Brosseau in the 1650 free (17th/17:18.69) and Jackie Borkowski in the 100 free (11th/51.97).

Looking forward with West Chester's head coach Jamie Rudisill:
We always look forward to the trip to Happy Valley. We've still got in-state kids on the team who remember swimming high school states in McCoy Natatorium. I just hope we can give the Lions some good races; they are clearly at another level, and we'll be coming in a little more beat up than we're accustomed. We usually swim them in the wake of our shave and taper meet at Maryland.

Penn State's Last Time Out:
The Penn State men's and women's swimming teams concluded their weekend at the Bell Grand Prix SCM meet on Nov. 26 by earning a combined third-place finish out of 69 teams that earned points at the meet. The scores were combined for all men's and women's teams and the Nittany Lions finished the three-day meet with a total of 909.5 points. Tim Williams claimed the only event title for PSU in the meet with a win in the 200 fly in 1:58.96.

The women were led by Nikki Collins in the 1500 free (3rd/16:35.09), Daphne Skelos in the 200 back (4th/2:11.72), Whitney Myers in the 50 free (5th/26.23) and the 100 free (7th/57.02), Kaitlin O'Brien in the 200 IM (5th/2:17.10) and the 400 IM (4th/4:43.86), Claire Hawley in the 400 free (6th/4:14.46), Karie Haglund in the 100 fly (2nd/1:00.99), Megan Palera in the 800 free (7th/8:51.56), Kelly Nelson in the 200 fly (3rd/2:12.23), Michelle Myers in the 100 back (7th/1:02.49) and Molly Crispell in the 200 free (4th/2:00.89).

The men were paced by Chris Sullivan in the 800 free (5th/8:10.51) and the 1500 free (3rd/15:38.71), Patrick Schirk in the 100 back (4th/55.40) and the 200 back (3rd/1:57.26), Kyle Miranda in the 100 breast (5th/1:01.89) and the 200 breast (3rd/2:15.05), Sean Swanepoel in the 100 free (7th/51.22), Ryan DeWeese in the 400 free (8th/3:57.25), Williams in the 100 fly (7th/55.11), Sean Biedermann in the 200 IM (7th/2:05.90) and Dan Kaiserian in the 50 free (6th/23.14).

Looking forward with Penn State head coach Bill Dorenkott:
Our team enjoys racing West Chester each year. We typically swim the Tuesday before Thanksgiving but changed the date as we were competing last week at the Bell Grand Prix in Toronto. Jaime does a terrific job with his program and will no doubt have his athletes ready to swim well this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing how our team responds to some challenges this week. We rested for three days last week then raced for three and drove all night arriving back in State College at 6 a.m., on Monday. We are going to really get after it this week both in and out of the water.
