NCAA Women's Weekend Preview -- November 10, 2005

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 10. Every week will be posting the schedules of the top 10 Division I schools. Here is what the calendar looks like this weekend for the women.

1. Georgia: After trouncing Michigan, 170-122, last weekend, the defending NCAA champion has this weekend off. Look for more action from them later this month.

2. Auburn: This week the Tigers travel to Virginia for a tri-meet with the Cavaliers and Penn State. They have had the last three weeks off, so coach David Marsh might have a tired squad from all that hard training.

3. Stanford: The Cardinal is taking the weekend off before heading to the Speedo Cup November 17-18.

4. Florida: This weekend the Gators take on the FAU Owls at home. The last time the Gator women saw action was October 27 in a 176-116 loss to defending NCAA Champion Georgia.

5. California: Cal will host Pacific this weekend after traveling all the way to Indiana to defeat Notre Dame 156.5-141.5.

6. Arizona: The Wildcats have another weekend off and will host UCLA and USC November 17-18, after that it is off to the the Texas Invitational from December 1-3.

7. UCLA: The Bruins also have the weekend off, no doubt they'll be ready to duel the Wildcats in Tucson on Oct. 19 and ASU a day earlier.

8. Southern Methodist: Tommorrow the lady Mustangs will host Wyoming. The last time they were in the pool they hooked Texas, 162-138.

9. Texas: Texas will be out of commission until December 1 when it takes on some of the top schools in the NCAA at the annual Texas Invite.

10. USC: The Trojan swimmers will not hit the pool again until they travel to the desert to take on Arizona Friday, Oct. 18 and ASU on the 19th. However, their diving squad will host the Trojan Invite Friday and Saturday.
