USA Swimming today announced the names of 55 up-and-coming athletes selected for its National Diversity Select Camp, scheduled for June 13-16, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The unique three-day camp experience includes pool training, motivational and educational sessions, and team-building activities. Click here for a complete roster of camp participants.

For the first time in history, the camp will be hosted in Indianapolis –just days   before the 2024 U.S. Team Trials – Swimming takes center stage at Lucas Oil Stadium. All camp participants will be part of history as the camp culminates with a trip to Trials opening night, the largest swim meet in history. Camp alumni include Olympians Simone Manuel, Jay Litherland, Torri Huske, and Natalie Hinds, many of whom will be competing inside the football stadium throughout the nine-day event.

“This year especially, the camp attendees will be inspired by some of the best athletes in the world as they watch the history-making meet in a football stadium,” USA Swimming Managing Director of Sport Development Joel Shinofield said. “We are excited to provide this unique experience to to these athletes and coaches to help inspire the next generation  of our sport.”

The National Diversity Select Camp allows swimmers and coaches from diverse backgrounds across the country to experience workouts and training sessions led by decorated leaders in our sport. Each athlete selected for the camp will be provided lodging, meals, airfare, and ground transportation. To qualify, athletes must have achieved at least one National Diversity Select Camp time standard within the qualifying period. To learn more about the selection criteria please click here.

USA Swimming will continue to offer a home coach track for athlete coaches at the National Diversity Select Camp. Eligible coaches can accompany their athlete(s) to the camp and take advantage of a separate track consisting of educational opportunities, connections with USA Swimming staff, and networking with other coaches from across the country.

Coaches do not need to have an athlete attending a camp in order to take advantage of educational experiences. In conjunction with the coach track, USA Swimming will offer a two-day coach clinic at Butler University June 14-15. It will cost $100 per individual coach or $200 for a team of up to four. Each additional coach beyond a group of four will cost $50 per coach. Learn more about the clinic here.
