University of New Hampshire Releases 2016-2017 Schedule

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women’s swimming and diving program has announced its schedule for the 2016-17 season.

The season begins on the road at the University of Vermont on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. and remains on the road Saturday, Oct. 22 when the Wildcats take on Northeastern University and James Madison University in the Northeastern Tri-Meet. The event begins at 12 p.m.

The Wildcats return home the following weekend for a two-day competition against Central Connecticut State University. Day one is Friday, Oct. 28 at 4:30 p.m. while day two begins Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11:30 a.m. Both days will take place at Swasey Pool. The final home meet of the season is set for Saturday, Nov. 5 against the University of Rhode Island and begins at 11 a.m. UNH wraps up the first half of the season with the Terrier Invitational held at Boston University’s Aquatics Center Competition Pool. The three-day event begins Friday, Nov. 18 and concludes Sunday, Nov. 20.

After winter training camp in Winter Park, Florida, the Wildcats are back at it on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Binghamton University at 10 a.m. The next day, Sunday, Jan. 22, UNH takes on Niagara University at NU, also at 10 a.m. The ‘Cats wrap up the regular season on Friday, Jan. 27 when they take on the University of Maine on the road. The meet begins at 5 p.m.

The 2017 America East Conference Championships begin on Thursday, Feb. 9 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and run through Sunday, Feb. 12. That competition is followed by the ECAC Championships that will be hosted by the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. The competition starts Friday, Feb. 24 and concludes Sunday, Feb. 26.

The NCAA Women’s Division I Championships are set to begin Thursday, March 14 at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. The event runs until Saturday, March 17.
