Sim & Sheble Sisters Put Together Stellar Night at NCSA Spring Championships
It was a strong night for the Sim sisters at the National Club Swimming Association Spring Championships (NCSA) in Orlando, as Letitia Sim and Levenia Sim each walked away with event titles.
Representing TNT, Letitia Sim, a Michigan recruit, posted a dominant triumph in the 200-yard breaststroke, as the 18-year-old was timed in 2:09.50 to easily top Josephine Fuller (2:12.27) and Zoe Skirboll (2:12.27). Sim put pressure on the opposition during the front-half of the race, thanks to her 1:01.70 split for the opening 100 yards.
The Sheble twins, Grace and Caroline from NOVA of Virginia and N.C. State recruits, managed a one-two finish in the women’s 200 butterfly, with Grace earning the victory in 1:54.43. Her sister touched the wall in 1:55.83, followed by Campbell Stoll in 1:56.14 and Levenia Sim in 1:56.56. On the men’s side, Mateo Miceli claimed victory with a performance of 1:45.51.
Sim came back from her effort in the 200 butterfly to win the 50 backstroke in 24.00, which was comfortably ahead of the 24.34 produced by Jessica Geriane. For the boys, Nathaniel Germonprez led three swimmers under the 22-second barrier, winning in 21.70. He was followed by Joshua Zuchowski (21.86), who won the 200 backstroke on Tuesday, and Luke Barr (21.98).
In the men’s 200 breaststroke, Aidan Duffy was the winner in 1:57.28. Duffy was joined in the sub-1:58 range by Barr, who touched in 1:57.65, and Toby Barnett, who was timed in 1:57.87.
