Ronald Dalmacio Blasts Past 11-12 50 Back NAG Record, Youngest Ever Below 24.0
Ronald Dalmacio of Rose Bowl Aquatics continued to flex his backstroke prowess while swimming at the Southern California JO’s last weekend.
The 12-year-old uncorked a 23.65 in finals of the boys 11-12 50-yard back final to slice close to half a second off his previous best time of 24.11, which stood as the NAG record. His time now marks him as the youngest swimmer to ever break the 24-second mark in the 50 back.
Dalmacio maintained his consistency in the sprint back by posting 24-low times in prelims of the 50 back (24.13) and as the lead-off leg for his team’s 200 medley relay.
He currently holds the 50-yard (26.91r) and 100-yard (58.62) 10 & Under NAG Records, in addition to the 50 (23.65), 100 (50.99), and 200 (1:52.90) SCY backs for the 11-12 age group. Additionally, Dalmacio owns the 50 (30.95) and 100 (1:07.40) LCM backs for 10 & Unders, along with the 50 (27.88) back for the 11-12 age group.

Who’s producing these mutants?!?
Rosebowl Aquatics I believe. It’s down south, I remember seeing him at far westerns as a 10 year old. He’s got something special with his backstroke.
