S. Mack Brown, a diver who competed internationally for the United States at the Pan American Games in 1955, passed away on Feb. 25.
According to his obituary, originally published in the Ukiah Daily Journal, Brown was born on July 21, 1934 and graduated from USC and the Los Angeles College of Optometry before working in that profession for a half-century. Brown also dove at the 1959 Olympic Trials and coached the Ukiah High School divers for many years.
