OI Svømming Signs Stig Leganger-Hansen as Head Coach
Alexander Dale Oen‘s former Coach and closest advisor Stig Leganger-Hansen has signed with the Oslo based club OI Swimming to recreate National and International results in the distinguished and historic important Club.
Stig Leganger-Hansen`s track record is, by Norwegian standards, quite impressive:
• Five swimmers in international semifinals/finals
• Been Coach in twenty international meets including two Olympics
• Ten international medals as Coach
• Norwegian Swimming Federation Coach of the Year in 2004-2006-2007-2008 and 2010
CEO and Head of Sports in OI Swimming Hans Jacob Stoebner has this to say about the signing:
“There is a small group of Coaches in Norway who have coached international swimmers. When we then combine pedagogical skills and an extreme individual focus there are not many Norwegian Coaches left. To sign Stig, who holds above characteristics is a message to our athletes and members of the Club that we mean business in our quest to become a Club with national and international results”
Stig Leganger-Hansen says,
“This is an opportunity I could not turn down. I am looking forward to return to the swim family and also working with Hans Jacob in a Club with high ambitions. In cooperation with the rest of the team at OI we will create a performance environment that will leave a trace”
Hans Jacob Stoebner contributed this report.
