Five-Time Oregon State Champ Kamryn Meskill Verbally Commits to the Tar Heels
NEW COMMIT: Junior National qualifier Kamryn Meskill of Bend, Oregon, has announced her verbal commitment to the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill beginning in Fall 2025.
She will join Chloe Stinson and Lexie Ward in Chapel Hill as a member of the Tar Heels’ Class of 2029.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am incredibly excited, and honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill!! I want to give a massive thank you to my family, friends, and coaches for their never ending support. Thank you to the UNC family for helping me find my home, and GO HEELS!!”
Meskill, who does her club swimming with Bellevue Club Swim Team, had five top-16 finishes at Federal Way Sectionals back in March after taking sixth in the 100 fly, 15th in the 100 free and 17th in the 50 free at Juniors West in December. Last summer, she was a four-time finalist at Sacramento Futures and raced three events at Junior Nationals.
Her best times include:
- 100 fly – 53.05
- 50 free – 22.84
- 100 free – 49.86
- 200 free – 1:52.16
- 100 back – 55.30
Currently a junior at Bend Senior High School, Meskill swept the 50 and 100 free at the 2024 Oregon 5A State Championships. She won the 50 free and 100 fly at the state meet during her sophomore season, also earning gold in the 50 free at the 6A state meet as a freshman.
