Men’s Junior World Water Polo Championships Head Into Bracket Play

LOS ALAMITOS, California, August 23. IT took 60 matches of pool play to sort it out, but the round of 16 is set at the Men's Junior Water Polo Championships held in Los Alamitos, Calif.

The top teams advancing out of each group were Spain in Group A with a 5-0-0 record and a plus-41 goal differential, the United States in Group D with a 5-0-0 record and a plus-60 goal differential, Serbia in Group C with a 4-1-0 record and a plus-55 goal differential and Hungary in Group D with a 5-0-0 record and a plus-87 goal differential.

Hungary's 105 goals scored topped pool play, while Croatia, sporting a 4-0-1 record in Group B, had the second-most tallies with 104 goals scored.

Hungary also had the stingiest defense as the team only allowed 18 goals against, while Serbia took second in the category with 20 goals against.
