Futures Gold Medalist Nora Weber Joins Auburn’s Class of 2025

NEW COMMIT: Distance freestyler Nora Weber has announced her intention to continue her academic and swimming career at Auburn University beginning in Fall 2025. She currently lives in Pennsylvania after moving from Oklahoma.

She will join Lilly Gault Abdella and Abigail Heizer as a member of the Tigers’ Class of 2029.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I chose Auburn because of the great team culture and amazing campus environment. I feel like Auburn is the best place to help me achieve my athletic and academic goals.”

Weber does her club swimming with Germantown Academy Aquatic Club and earned silver in both the 400m free and 1500m free, as well as bronze in the 800m free, at Columbia Sectionals last summer. She then went on to win the 1500m free, take second in the 800m free and place fourth in the 400m free at San Antonio Futures.

Her best times include:

  • 200 free – 1:51.62
  • 500 free – 4:49.85
  • 1000 free – 9:59.34
  • 1650 free – 16:34.04

Finishing up her junior year at Wissahickon High School, Weber won the 500 free and placed fifth in the 200 free at the 2024 Pennsylvania 3A State Championships. She

Auburn finished fourth at the 2024 SEC Championships under head coach Ryan Wochomurka.
