FINA Releases 2017 Masters World Championships Schedule

FINA, swimming’s governing body, has posted the competition schedule for the 2017 Masters World Championships, which will be held in Budapest, Hungary next summer.

The event, running from August 7-20, will feature all five aquatic sports:

Swimming – August 14-20
Open Water – August 10-12
Diving – August 7-13
Water Polo – August 7-13
Synchro – August 7-13

The first day of swimming (8/14) will feature the 800 free (the longest race on the schedule), while the fifth day (8/18) will boast the relays. Competition will be run out of two venues, Dagaly and Margaret Island, featuring four competition pools.

Each day of the open water competition will feature different age groups beginning with 55 and over on day one (8/10). Ages 40-54 will swim on day two (8/11), while ages 25-39 will compete on day 3 (8/12).
