TILBURG – Femke Heemskerk clocked a sizzling time of 1:51.75 to set the meet record in the women’s 200-meter free at the Dutch Short Course Nationals. She just missed her Dutch record of 1:51.72 set at the Aachen International Swim Festival.

That time challenged Federica Pellegrini’s world record of 1:51.17.  Heemskerk was even out under world-record pace at the 150-meter mark, but could not replicate Pellegrini’s stunning closing split of 28.08.
