European Championships Begin in Paris:

One of the biggest events on the international aquatics calendar begins this weekend as Europe’s best athletes converge on Paris for the 2026 European Aquatics Championships.
Running through mid-August, the championships feature artistic swimming, diving, open water swimming, high diving and seven days of elite pool swimming, with many of the sport’s biggest stars returning to the Olympic Aquatics Centre following the Paris Olympic Games.

Championship Schedule
July 31 – August 5
Artistic Swimming
Competition opens with artistic swimming, featuring Europe’s top duet, mixed duet and solo competitors.
July 31 – August 6
Diving
The diving competition runs alongside artistic swimming and includes individual, synchronized and mixed team events.
August 4 – August 8
Open Water Swimming
The championships move to the River Seine for the open water events, including the 5K, 10K, knockout sprint and mixed relay.
August 7 – August 8
High Diving
Europe’s best high divers compete before attention shifts to the pool.
August 10 – August 16
Swimming Takes Center Stage
Beginning August 10, the championship shifts to the discipline Swimming World readers know best.
Olympic champions, world champions and rising stars from across Europe will battle for continental titles inside the Olympic Aquatics Centre.
