Chloe Larson set her second Gibb Pool record in as many meets in the 50 freestyle as Washington State topped Idaho, 162-98, on Friday night.

Larson went 22.59 in the 50 to win the event, fending off a game attempt by Idaho’s Katie Hale (23.75). It lowers the pool mark of 22.70 that Larson set last week in a dual meet against Utah. It improves her NCAA B cut in the event.

Larson also was part of a pair of winning relays, anchoring the 400 medley and leading off the 200 free. Washington swept all but one event, starting with the 400 medley squad of Kiana Swain, Mackenzie Duarte, Kaya Takashige and Larson, in a 1-2 result. Duarte and Takashige went 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke. Duarte would go on to claim the 200 breast and 100 individual medley. Swain won the 200 butterfly.

Larson, Hailey Grotte, Paige Gardner and Takashige won the 200 free relay to cap the meet.

Taylor McCoy assembled an impressive meet, winning the 400 IM, 100 backstroke and 200 back for the Cougars. Josie Liebzeit won the 200 free, Grotte claimed the 100 free and Takashige was victorious in the 100 fly.

Zoie Froh led Idaho by winning the 500 free, edging Liebzeit by .37 seconds. Froh added a runner-up finish in the 400 IM.

Rilie Krieg (200 free), Rylie Jones (100 fly, 200 fly), Morgan Votava (200 back), Kaling Phung (100 IM) also supplied second-place results for the Vandals.
