Cameron van der Burgh Leads Way in South African Prelims

The 2016 South African National Championships kicked off today with Cameron van der Burgh putting up the top time in the men’s 100-meter breast.

Van der Burgh, who ranks second in the world with a 59.61 from the Swedish Open (behind Adam Peaty’s 59.55 from Edinburgh), put up a 59.98 to led the way during prelims.

Men’s 400 IM

Sebastien Rousseau had the top time this morning with a 4:20.30, while Eben Vorster (4:26.68) and Michael Meyer (4:26.81) qualified second and third.
