Why is Thiago Pereira, one of the most decorated Olympians Brazil ever had, not on the team? Better yet, does anyone have any thought as to why Thiago (one of Ryan Lochte’s best friends) was forced to retire? Does anyone think it was political, attributable to the controversy surrounding Ryan Lochte at the gas station and the ensuing controversy?

Thiago is now retired from the pools.

That begs the question! The question is WHY did he retire? Was it because of fallout from the Lochte false controversy ? Or because of his performance in the individual medley where he finished 7th? Also why was he forced off his club that invited him back from the US with welcome arms only to be “shown the door.”

Any thoughts on this??
