2019 Men’s Pac-12 Championships Day 4 Prelims: Cal Takes Another 3 Top Seeds Heading Into Finals
The final day of the 2019 Men’s Pac-12 Championships starts with Cal in the lead with 644 points, followed by Stanford with 499 points, and Arizona with 410.
Patrick Mulcare of USC hopes to keep his top seed going into this mornings 200 back, but ASU’s Zachary Poti, winner of the 100 back, will also be fighting to get his hand on the wall first.
Cal swimmers, Michael Jensen, Pawel Sendyk, and Ryan Hoffer go into the 100 free with the top three seeds, and want to remain on top to gain a further lead in points.
Andrew Seliskar heads into the 200 breast with high hopes of adding another victory to his already record breaking individual wins.
Cal goes into this mornings 200 fly holding another top three seeds with swimmers Zheng Quah, Mike Thomas, and Trenton Julian.

Patrick Conaton of Stanford takes the top seed going into finals with a time of 1:40.47.
Coming in second was ASU’s Zachary Poti with a time of 1:40.96, followed closely by Daniel Carr of Cal with a time of 1:41.08.
In fourth was Bryce Mefford of Cal with a time of 1:41.19, in fifth was Thomas Anderson of Arizona with a time of 1:41.23, in sixth was Daniel McArthur of Utah with a time of 1:41.49, in seventh was Glen Cowand of Stanford with a time of 1:41.61, and in eighth was Ben Ho with a time of 1:42.31.
100 Free
Michael Jensen of Cal wins this mornings 100 free with a time of 42.37.
ASU’s Carter Swift came in second with a time of 42.52, followed by Utah’s Austin Phillips with a time of 42.61.
In fourth was Ryan Hoffer of Cal with a time of 42.64, in fifth was Nikola Miljenic of USC with a time of 42.68, in a close sixth was Liam O’Haimhirgin of Utah with a time of 42.69, in seventh was Jorge Iga of Arizona with a time of 42.91, and in eighth was Pawel Sendyk of Cal with a time of 43.00.
200 Breast
Reece Whitley of Cal takes the top seed in this morning’s 200 breast with a time of 1:52.39, followed by his teammate Andrew Seliskar with a time of 1:53.14.
Stanford swimmers Hank Poppe with a time of 1:53.25 and Brennan Pastorek with a time of 1:53.32 take the third and fourth seeds.
In fifth was Sam Iida of Arizona with a time of 1:53.79, in sixth was Daniel Roy of Stanford with a time of 1:54.12, in a close seventh was David Schlicht of Arizona with a time of 1:54.13, and in eighth was Karl Arvidsson of Cal with a time of 1:54.37.
200 Fly
Cal takes the top two seeds going into tonight’s 200 Fly finals with swimmers Zheng Quah with a time of 1:42.28, and Trenton Julian with a time of 1:42.79.
Coming in third was Stanford’s Alex Liang with a time of 1:42.99.
In fourth was Mike Thomas of Cal with a time of 1:43.29, in fifth was Brendan Meyer of Arizona with a time of 1:43.31, in sixth was Jack Xie of Cal with a time of 1:43.33, in seventh was Mathias Oh of Arizona with a time of 1:44.23, and in eighth was Mark Jurek of USC with a time of 1:44.67.
