The final day of the 2017 NCAA DI Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships is already here. Stanford is on the verge of its first championship in women’s swimming since 1998. California is still hanging tight after winning three events on Friday night as well as the 200 medley relay to finish the night.
The big battle to watch Saturday morning will be between Georgia and Texas as the Bulldogs are only two points ahead of the Longhorns going into the final day of action. Georgia has not placed lower than fourth since 2010 and Texas has not placed in the top four since 2001 when they finished third.
The last morning session will have the heats of the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly and 400 free relay as well as platform diving. The slower seeded heats of the 1650 will be swum right before the finals session at around 3:30 EST.
