Tech Tuesday: A Look at the Free Flow Adult-Swim Program by Kerry O’Brien (Part 4) – Prone Position (VIDEO)

One of the biggest issues in aquatics is getting adults to learn how to swim. It is much tougher to learn later in life, which deters a lot of people from attempting to learn. Fortunately, there are individuals out there who continue to place an emphasis on learn-to-swim programs for adults.

Kerry O’Brien, a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame, coached Walnut Creek Masters for more than 40 years and has been an influential figure in U.S. Masters Swimming. These days, his Free Flow program works with adults who are learning to swim, and starts with simple knowledge and basics. The Free Flow program starts with the use of a front-mounted snorkel and is designed to accelerate the learning process because oxygen is freely available.
