Swimming World’s Year in Photos: The Iconic Shots and Moments of 2022

The 2022 year was a spectacular year for swimming. World records were broken, championships were won and rivalries continued.

Heartbreak also happened as the sport continued to run through the gauntlet of emotions.

Swimming World has captured the images and moments of the year. Swimming World Chief Photographer Peter H. Bick was on the pool deck for many of the biggest meets, while international meets were captured by DeepBlue Media and other collaborators.

As a wire service photographer for years I know how hard it is to capture peak athletic movements. Great job by Peter Bick and the others documenting our sport so well.

Very happy for their accomplishments. Can you do a magazine on Masters Swimmers once a year that set new records.
