Washington College Swimming Raises More Than $2K for Relay for Life

CHESTERTOWN, Maryland, October 6. The Washington College swim teams held a swimming pentathlon to benefit Relay for Life this past Saturday. The pentathlon consisted of a 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 100 freestyle, and 100 individual medley with times from the five events added together.

The top men’s finisher was junior Lucas Morgan (Allendale, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional), followed by sophomore Brent Hochstein (Townsend, Del./Salesianum School) and junior Brent Longenecker (Maytown, Pa./Donegal) in second and third, respectively. Sophomore Ellen Maxwell (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) led all women, followed by freshman Katie Gorman (Whippany, N.J./Whippany Park) and senior Alicia Howard (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington).

The pentathlon has raised over $2,100 for Relay for Life thus far.
