USA Swimming Sectionals, Pleasant Prairie: Harvard Swimmers Sprinkled Heavily Among Podium Placers on Final Day

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wisconsin, March 11. THE USA Swimming Sectionals held in Pleasant Prairie concluded with Harvard swimmers picking up plenty of the podium spots.

Hannah Ross snagged the women's 200 back title in 2:16.63, while Harvard's Caroline Weaver (2:21.15) and Kelsey Hojan Clark (2:21.19) finished second and third. McFarland's Ryan O'Donnell won the men's 200 back in 2:06.34, while Jesse Stipek (2:07.73) and Kyle Drake (2:07.89) finished second and third.

Colorado Springs' Frida Berggren clocked a 58.53 to win the women's 100 free. Waukesha's Abby Jadgfeld touched second in 58.74, while Harvard's Faith Martin wound up third in 58.77. Rapid City's Joshua Jordan bested Southwest's Michael Lucchesi, 52.46 to 52.71, for the men's 100 free title. Mesa's Payton Sorenson finished third in 53.26.

Harvard's Ana Anaya claimed the women's 200 fly crown in 2:18.56, while Lafayette's Elizabeth Billeaud picked up second in 2:19.21. Harvard's Danielle Schulkin finished third in 2:20.29. Blue Devil's Matthew Conway finished first in the men's 200 fly with a 2:04.77. Peddie's Ryan Signorin (2:06.33) and Waves' Justin Dedianous (2:06.65) picked up second and third.

Harvard's Kelsey Hojan Clark won the women's 1500 free in 17:12.07, while Vipers' Nikola Fellows finished second in 17:26.89. Redbird's Brianna Hines turned in a 17:29.48 for third. Thomas Duvall claimed the men's 1500 free in 16:11.71. Southwest's Joseph Szczupakiewicz placed second in 16:35.19, while Winnebago's Nicholas Halverson took third in 16:47.19.
