The Morning Swim Show: Breaking Down World Records From European Championships; Dave Walters Talks About American-Record Swim and Representing USA at Olympics

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 16. WORLD records at the European Championships and an interview with a new American record holder are part of today's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Host Peter Busch highlights the 10 world records broken at the European short course championships last weekend, from Amaury Leveaux's four record swims and Alessia Filippi's 800 free to Stanislav Donet's new 100 back record and Federica Pellegrini's new mark in the 200 free.

In the College Swimming Tuesdays segment, Texas junior Dave Walters talks about the American record he broke in the 200 free at the Texas Invitational recently. Walters said he didn't feel intimidated that it was Phelps' record he broke, and wanted to prove that Phelps isn't completely invincible. He also talks about the reasons why he was proud to represent the United States in Beijing in the 800 free relay, and breaks down how he was able to win the NCAA title in the 200 free at last spring's championships.
