The Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association Endorses Swimming World Magazine

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 17. SWIMMING World Magazine will now carry the endorsed logo of the Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (ASCTA) beginning with the November 2006 issue.

“The swimming community has long held Swimming World Magazine as the pre-eminent publication for our sport. The magazine has been a strong advocate in the fight against drugs in sport and Australia’s coaches support your interest in promoting competitive swimming and fostering communication,” said Dr. Ralph Richards, Chief Executive Officer for the Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association, upon signing the agreement.

ASCTA is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the professional development of its members. To meet this objective, it supports the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme of the Australian Sports Commission and also serves as a key stakeholder with Swimming Australia – a FINA affiliate and the governing body for competitive swimming in Australia.

ASCTA publishes an informative quarterly journal called Swimming in Australia. ASCTA is working with Swimming World Magazine to make Swimming in Australia a regular feature available on-line for premium members to read. In return, Swimming World Magazine articles will be reprinted in ASCTA publications when relevant.

In addition, other ASCTA publications, such as books and DVDs will now be available in North America through Swimming World Magazine, via an exclusive distribution agreement.

“Australian coaches and teachers are among the most respected professionals in swimming today. This relationship is long overdue. It allows us to continue sharing important knowledge about our sport to our world wide readers,” concluded Brent Rutemiller – CEO and Publisher for Sports Publications International – publishers of Swimming World Magazine, SwimmingWorldMagazine.com and SwimmingWorld.TV.
