Taylor Ruck Tracks Down 200 Free Meet Record at 2015 FINA World Junior Championships

Canada’s Taylor Ruck tracked down the meet record in the women’s 200-meter free at the 2015 FINA World Junior Championships.

Ruck hit the wall in 1:57.87, downing the previous record of 1:58.12 set by Tamsin Cook earlier this week as a relay leadoff.

Russia’s Arina Openysheva finished second in the finale with a 1:58.28, while USA’s Hannah Cox claimed bronze in a time of 1:59.28.

Japan’s Sachi Mochida (1:59.39), Italy’s Rachele Ceracchi (2:01.09), Great Britain’s Holly Hibbott (2:01.29), Russia’s Daria Mullakaeva (2:01.45) and Brazil’s Rafaela Raurich (2:01.89) closed out the finale.
