TUCSON, Arizona, October 27. YAMAMOTO Kogaku Co., Ltd., a Japanese-based company manufacturing and selling "SWANS" brand swimming goggles, snow goggles, and sunglasses signed South African Olympian Ryk Neethling to an endorsement contract, it was announced today.
"We are always really excited to watch Ryk race and felt he was really suitable for SWANS with his events and him being a first-class sprinter," said SWANS spokesperson Junko Togo. "The most important thing was that Ryk loves our goggles. He is now wearing our new racing model goggles, SR-F1."
By absorbing ideas from top athletes, SWANS aims to produce both functional and stylish equipment and will continue this procedure in the future.
Neethling, who participated in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games as a distance swimmer, will be continuing his quest for the gold at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, as a sprinter.
