Race Video: Watch James Magnussen Throw Down 49.09 in 100 Free Prelims

VICHY, France, July 4. ALTHOUGH the French Open will have a bit of a schedule change this evening due to inclement weather hitting the outdoor venue (more on that later), here’s a look at James Magnussen putting up the top time out of prelims in the men’s 100-meter free.

In a heat that included Matthew Abood, Jeremy Stravius and Florent Manaudou, Magnussen led the way with a 49.09. Abood tied Stravius with 49.83s, while Manaudou touched fourth in 49.85.

Meanwhile, the meet tonight that had been scheduled to kick off with a truckload of B finals will not hold off until A finals. A finals will begin at the same scheduled time as before with B finals being moved to the back of the session.
