There aren’t a ton of meets in the Pac-12 this week, but there is an interesting double dip.

The Cal and Stanford swim teams will do a swim-and-swap weekend with Arizona and Arizona State.

On Friday. Stanford faces Arizona State, while Cal meets Arizona. The Stanford women are ranked No. 1 by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, while Cal is No. 2 and Arizona is No. 10.

On the men’s side, Cal is ranked No. 1, while Stanford is No. 4 and Arizona State is No. 17.

On Saturday, the teams swap and Stanford faces Arizona, while Cal faces Arizona State.

This will be an interesting weekend for all four teams.

The Stanford women and Cal women will have a pretty equal gauge to see how they compare as the Pac-12 Championship meet begins to creep up on the field.

On the flip side, Arizona has moved up from No. 24 to No. 10 with strong performances in the pool — and the Wildcats are looking to prove they belong in the top 10.

The Arizona State women will be able to show what is needed to contend after facing the top two teams in the country.

For the men, this could be a statement meet for Arizona State. Coach Bob Bowman is making huge strides with the Sun Devils and strong meets against Cal and Stanford are the next steps toward becoming a contender in the Pac-12. The Sun Devils likely won’t be in contention for the conference championship this season, but that moment of contention is on the way.

Meanwhile, the Stanford men moved up from No. 19 to No. 4 and are also looking to prove they belong in contention with Cal.

In other meets this weekend, Washington State faces Oregon State on Friday. The Beavers then turn around and face Idaho on Saturday. Utah also faces BYU.
