Olympic Gold Medalist Tae Hwan Park Back After Sabbatical

INCHEON, South Korea, October 22. AT the 94th National Sports Festival this weekend held in Incheon, South Korea, Tae Hwan Park made his return to swimming after taking a post-2012 London Olympic sabbatical.

Park, a four-time Olympic medalist with gold in the 400 free at the 2008 Beijing Games, dominated the men’s 400-meter freestyle event with a time of 3:46.71. It was a pretty lonely swim, considering second place came in at 3:52.55. Notably, the swim smoked the meet record of 3:53.15, and would have ranked Park 10th in the world last year.
