Ohio State, Stanford, SwimMAC, Arizona Clear 30 Total Trials Qualifiers Each_

OMAHA, Nebraska, June 19. WITH the release of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials psych sheets today, plenty of teams got to celebrate having competitors heading to the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb., next week. Four clubs, however, stood above the rest by clearing 30 total Trials qualifiers each out of the 1,831 (901 female, 930 male) to be invited to the meet.

Ohio State (36 total), Stanford Aquatics (36 total), SwimMAC (35 total) and the University of Arizona (33 total) each earned more than 30 Trials qualifiers to represent their squads at the meet. Stanford (89) and SwimMAC (84) each had more than 80 total entries onto the psych sheet, which had a total of 3,588 swims scheduled to take place before scratches.

Notably, the entire Tucson-based crew of the University of Arizona and Tucson Ford accounted for 49 Trials qualifiers (33 UofA, 16 Tucson Ford).
