NCAA Division II Championships: Matt Josa Vaults to 10th All Time in 100 Fly

After moving to 19th all time in the men’s 200-yard IM last night, Queens’ Matt Josa decided to ramp up the heat in the 100-yard fly.

Josa, out in a ridiculous time of 20.96, came home in 23.93 to blast his NCAA D2 record with a 44.89. Not only did that beat his lifetime best of 45.45 that stood as the D2 record it vaulted him to ninth all time in the event’s history.

Notably, Grand Valley’s Gianni Ferrero finished second in 46.54 with Wayne State’s Soren Holm earning third in 46.69.

Queens moved to second behind Drury, 159-144.5, following the event. Lindenwood dropped to third with 142 points.
