FLOWER MOUND – Kyle Tilley, a 26-year-old swim coach at Lakeside Aquatic Club in Texas, died this weekend due to a car crash according to the Dallas News.

Tilley died around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday after what the Dallas News reports was a wreck with another car in which the other vehicle rear-ended Tilley at a high speed, forcing Tilley’s car off the road and into a roll.  He died at the scene, with a passenger in his car being air rescued to the Medical Center of Plano.

As reported by the Dallas News, Tilley was the unfortunate bystander of a road rage incident between a pair of teenage drivers who were cutting each other off.

Tilley was an age group coach at Lakeside Aquatic who also served as a substitute teacher at Flower Mound High School.  He was a collegiate swimmer at Ouachita Baptist before moving on to coach.
