Kirsty Coventry, a two-time Olympic gold medalist in the 200-meter back, threw down an African record in the 50-meter back at the Arena Pro Swim Series Charlotte.

Coventry explained that doing something like that might help her get into the sprint group under head coach David Marsh at SwimMAC.
