Industry News: Splash SportsPool A Success at USMS Nationals

LITTLE ROCK, Ark, September 23. A Splash SportsPool was recently featured at Rutgers University in conjunction with the 2003 United States Masters Swimming Long Course National Championships held August 13-17, 2003. For the first time, the four lane 25 yard pool was utilized as the official warm-up/cool-down pool for the 871 swimmers that entered the meet.

“One of the great advantages of our pools is the speed with which they can be erected,” said Scott Shroyer, manager of Splash’s Commercial Pool Division. “This pool was a well-suited, quick and economical solution for Rutgers’ immediate and long-term outdoor aquatic needs,” he added. The pool was installed in under a week’s time, including the 83,000 gallons needed to fill the pool.

The immediate purpose of the pool was for the USMS event, the pool will also be used as a recreational pool for Rutgers’ students during the fall and spring semesters. Rutgers University is located in Piscataway, New Jersey.
