The result is a roster of clinics and camps that range from technique for new swimmers all the way to speed and mental preparation for the elite swimmer.

Below are a few examples of clinics being offered in 2016:

Omaha Trials Clinics – Omaha, Nebraska. Fitter and Faster will be hosting 6 clinics during the U.S. Trials for participants of all ages. The sessions will be led by Olympians with specialized curricula on Starts and Finishes, Turns and Underwaters, Freestyle and Speed and Power.

Championship Racing Skills for Starts, Turns and Underwater Dolphin Kicking – Cleveland, OH. Feb. 20, 21.  At two clinics based on age and ability, swimmers will sharpen their championship meet preparation skills by learning from Olympians Scott Weltz and Shannon Vreeland. This is a chance to focus on the key elements of every race that make a BIG difference: starts, turns and underwater dolphin kicking. Participants will also learn how to visualize their races for more confidence and a better race plan!

Advanced Breaststroke Racing– Bloomington, IN. April 9, 2016. This clinic is open to swimmers that have achieved the Indiana Divisional Championship Time Standards in breaststroke. Swimmers will work with Olympian Clark Buckle and National Champion Laura Sogar on maximizing speed and efficiency on every component of breaststroke: pullouts, turns, kicking, rhythm and undulation.

Faster Butterfly, Breaststroke, Starts, Turns and Underwater Dolphin Kicking – Lawrenceville, GA. April 16, 17. Olympians Scott Weltz and Christine Magnuson and an FFT Strength and Conditioning Coach will lead three curriculums based on age and ability. One session will be for ages 9-10 and focus on swimming faster and more efficient butterfly and breaststroke. Swimmers ages 11-12 and 13 and up will participate in two sessions for more powerful starts, turns and underwater dolphin kicking.

Powerful Starts, Turns, Dryland Exercises and Parents’ Talk – Lincolnshire, IL. April 23, 24. At two ability and age specific clinics, participants will learn how to execute faster starts and turns from Olympian Clark Buckle. An FFT Strength and Conditioning Coach will help swimmers improve their flexibility and strength, allowing them more versatility in the water. These clinics also feature a special parent talk from Clark Burckle’s mother, Jill. Learn how she raised a successful Olympian.
