Chelsea Piers’ Alexandra Walsh Beats Kathleen Baker’s 11-12 100 IM National Age Group Record

MIDDLETOWN, Connecticut, March 14. SWIMMAC’s Kathleen Baker just helped her squad to a national age group record relay last night at the Speedo Sectionals in Charlotte, but tonight she lost her 11-12 100-yard IM national age group record.

Chelsea Piers Aquatic Club’s Alexandra Walsh put together a sizzling time of 56.76 in the girls 11-12 100-yard IM at the Connecticut Age Group Championships tonight, making her the first 12-and-under to beat 57 seconds. That performance undercut Baker’s 57.62 from 2010.
