Cassidy Bayer is not competing in this weekend’s NCAP Invitational, and her absence from the initial psych sheet raised questions. But Bayer stopped by the meet Saturday night to watch her teammates compete, and while on deck she spoke with Swimming World about what’s been going on.

She explained how she had injured her meniscus and how she had to undergo surgery. She explained what the recovery process entailed, where she is now and how she got over the disappointment of finishing third at Olympic Trials this summer.

Also, check out video interviews with three of the top performers at the meet!

Sam Pomajevich, NCAP

Isabella Gati, NCAP
