Casa Arena: Cameron Van Der Burgh Says Breaststroke Rule Change Will Happen

BARCELONA, Spain, August 1. CAMERON Van Der Burgh talks with Jeff Commings from the Casa Arena in Barcelona, Spain about breaststroke rules and the need for fair change. Van Der Burgh has admitted repeatedly to breaking the rules to win the Olympic gold medal in London and that winning was the best platform to bring attention to the fact that everyone is breaking the rules. “When you are coming in 8th place and you speak about something, nobody takes notice.” He went on to say that when you are an Olympic champion and admit to something, things get done and that he has been assured that rules changes in the breaststroke will come about over the next two years.
