MINNEAPOLIS – Beata Nelson is definitely feeling great after crushing the 15-16 U.S. National Age Group record in the 100-yard fly at the Arena Grand Prix in Minnesota.

Last night, Nelson put a charge into the crowd with a 51.08 in the women’s 100-yard fly.  That swim not only demolished her own 15-16 record of 51.70 from last week, but also cleared Natalie Coughlin’s 17-18 national age group record of 51.18 from 2001.

Swimming World caught up with her the day after to talk about the epic swim.  Nelson certainly felt great after the swim, and is just happy she was able to hold onto her high school championship taper this weekend in Minneapolis.

Nelson, as all swimmers are, is looking forward to a Thanksgiving feast next week but still plans on hitting training hard as she is back with her club team at Southwest Aquatics.
