Another Score of Swimming World College Recruit Ranking Five Stars Post Commitments

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 2. WITH early signing date fast approaching, many Swimming World College Recruit Rankings recruits are completing their recruiting schedules with verbal commitments.

Five star Chad Bobrosky, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is an all-around freestyle threat who will be headed to Southern California.

"I chose the University of Southern California because it had everything I looked for in a university," Bobrosky told Swimming World. "Not only did the university boast excellent academics, but also a remarkable swim program backed up by excellent coaching, and just an overall great group of athletes. I am very excited to escape the cold weather up north and head down to the beautiful city of LA and become a Trojan."

Bobrosky swims for Cascade Swim Club and preps at Bishop Carrol. He has several long course senior national cuts: 200m free 1:50.86; 400m free 3:54.43; 1500m free 15:50.04; 200m IM 2:07.19.

Five star Riley Mita, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a distance specialist who will be headed to Navy.

"When two of the best distance swimmers in Southern California went to service academies last year (Brock Redondo – Army, Deni Cullom – Navy), I started to focus on what the academies could do for me beyond swimming," Mita told Swimming World. "After meeting Coach [Bill] Roberts and Coach [Chris] Maiello, seeing their incredible facility and meeting their great swimmers, I was sold on Navy. I love the ocean and the prospect to serve my country at sea is an opportunity I could not pass."

Mita swims for Canyons Aquatic Club and preps at West Ranch High. He owns a pair of long course senior national cuts: 400m free 4:00.55; 1500m free 15:46.65.

Five star Sarah Peterson, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a breaststroke/IMer who will be headed to Auburn.

"I chose Auburn because I fell in love with every part of it while I was there," Peterson told Swimming World. "The team was great and made me feel like family, the coaching staff was inspirational and very dedicated in what they do, and the area and facilities were just gorgeous and made me feel it would be easy to be away from home. I look forward to training with a hard-working and fun team. War Eagle!"

Peterson swims for Space City Aquatic Team, and holds two long course senior national cuts: 200m breast 2:37.06; 400m IM 4:52.78.

Five star Kelsey Cummings, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a distance swimmer who will be headed to North Carolina.

Cummings swims for West Coast Swimming and preps at El Segundo High. She has two long course senior national cuts: 400m free 4:16.61; 800m free 8:51.29.

Five star Annemarie Thayer, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is an all-around threat who will be headed to Stanford.

Thayer swims for Cascade Swim Club and preps at King's High. She has a laundry list worth of long course senior national cuts: 100m back 1:02.61; 200m back 2:12.11; 100m fly 1:02.35; 200m fly 2:15.35; 200m IM 2:18.24; 400m IM 4:51.35.

Five star Caroline Piehl, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is an all-around threat who will be headed to California.

Piehl swims for the Colorado Stars and preps at Smoky Hill High. She owns several long course senior nationals cuts: 100m free 0:56.77; 200m free 2:02.52; 100m back 1:04.52; 100m breast 1:12.13; 200m breast 2:33.95; 200m IM 2:16.61.

Four star Juliana "Cha Cha" Bugatti, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a distance specialist from the Sarasota Sharks who will be heading to Columbia.

Three star Tyler Hill, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a backstroker from SwimMAC who will be heading to North Carolina.

Three star Jonathan Lierley, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is an all-arounder from Mt. Pleasant Swim Club who will be heading to Pittsburgh.

Two star LeighAnne Oliver, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a breaststroker from Tucson Ford who will be heading to Utah.
