Is this based on advertising, because there is no Germantown, which historicaly is the best swimming prep school, ever.

You forgot Malvern preparatory school. Runner up behind Peddie at Easterns and top non 5th year school. Ranked second behind Bolles for schools of 800 or less in the country. Rival to the great Germantown academy. Two very good schools left off your list.

I don’t understand how you derived your list. While The Hill School is a fine institution, it is not known for its swimming program. There are two schools in the same general area that develop outstanding swimmers and should be on the list, Germantown Academy and Malvern Prep. These schools have a long history of turning out high caliber swimmers.

OMG. No Germantown Academy? GA has a history of more olymipians, more people at trails and national/jr team members than probably anyone in the country. PA swimming is now some of the best swimming in the nation and its all because of the GA factor. There are at least 10 top level swim programs within a half hour drive of GA and they were all started because of shoulberg and the ga catalyst factor.

Readers – Thank you for your interest in this annual piece. This is a directory featuring the schools that wanted to be listed. This is not an endorsement by Swimming World Magazine or its staff. Germantown and Bolles elected to not participate this year. We look forward to growing this list each year for our readers!

Canterbury is an outstanding school with an amazing swimming pool.

Schools listed have paid an advertising fee to Swimming World. This is nothing but a paid advertisement that SW does on a yearly basis. Similar to their swim camp issue.
