NORRKOPING, Sweden, June 29. WITH most of the world focusing its attention on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Sweden has been competing at its long course nationals this week. Several records have been posted since the meet kicked off on June 26. The meet concludes on July 1.

Jennie Johansson dipped under her women's 50 breast Swedish record in finals with a 30.65. That effort cleared the 30.89 she set last July, and moved her to second in the world this year behind only Yuliya Efimova (30.15).

Magdalena Kuras lowered the Swedish record in the women's 50 back with a 29.03 in prelims before Michelle Coleman returned fire in finals with a 28.74 to drop the record even further. Kuras wound up taking second in a touch-out loss with a 28.75.

Joline Hostman set a meet record in the women's 200 breast with a 2:26.56. That swim lowered the 2:27.36 set by Emma Igelstrom in 2002.
