PHOENIX, Arizona, August 28. THE roster of top-flight swimmers at North Baltimore Aquatic Club increased by one today, as Tom Luchsinger announced that he's moving there to work with Bob Bowman, who molded Michael Phelps into the sport's greatest butterflyer.

Luchsinger made a big breakthrough this summer with a spot on the world championship team in the 200 butterfly. He earned that roster spot when he won his first national title in the event in June with a 1:55.57. He made the final of the 200 fly at the world championships a month later, placing fifth with a 1:55.70.

The 22-year-old earned a few All-American certificates during his time at the University of North Carolina, including eighth in the 400 IM at the 2011 NCAA championships and fifth in the 200 fly at the 2013 meet.

With Bowman serving as coach on deck, Luchsinger will swim alongside such powerhouses as Conor Dwyer, Allison Schmitt and Yannick Agnel at the Meadowbrook Aquatic Center.
