Gornay also made an attempt for Mike Cavic's 15-16 age group record in the 100-yard fly. Cavic clocked a 47.10 back in 2001, while Gornay turned in a sterling 47.62 last weekend. He went out in 21.70 before closing out his strong 47.62. Gornay has already been a 47.29 last May, and ranks sixth overall for 15-16 year olds in the event's history.
