PHOENIX, Arizona, January 8. TODAY'S edition of The Morning Swim Show features American record holder Tom Shields in the first of a two-part interview that covers everything from life as a pro swimmer to the secret behind his amazing underwater kicking abilities.
Shields opens up about the past nine months of being a postgrad swimmer, discussing how the added aspect of earning money has made him "a lot more nervous ... which creates a lot more anxiety." He's also on his own schedule in this chapter of his swimming life, but he's happy with the way it's turned out, based on the way he performed at the World Cup meets. Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews, and come back tomorrow for the second half of Shields' interview!
