Coleman Weibley Named Tennessee Director of Operations

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, September 2. THE Tennessee men's and women's swimming and diving programs will have a familiar face around the pool deck this season as Coleman Weibley has been named the Director of Operations.

Now in his fifth season with the swimming and diving team, Weibley served as the swimming and diving Operations Intern last season after being the head manager for the men's team for three years.

"This position is one critical to our program moving forward in an organized professional manner," Vol head coach John Trembley said. "We are so grateful to be a part of an athletics program with vision and support for our swimming and diving programs. Through his undergraduate service, Coleman has shown loyalty and commitment to Tennessee swimming and diving."

Weibley will be in charge of organizing plans for travel and recruiting weekends, maintaining alumni relations and parent communications, along with serving as the liaison for many other offices in the department.

"First of all, we're really excited to have Coleman Weibley in this position," Lady Vol head coach Matt Kredich said. "Coleman brings a great deal of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the job, as well as a love for Tennessee Swimming. Second, the addition of the Director of Operations position is a huge step forward for our program. Having an effective director of operations allows the coaches to spend more time and energy focusing on what has made our program outstanding – thorough and innovative coaching and careful recruiting."

In addition, Weibley also assists with the organization and administration of the summer swim camps.

A native of Carlisle, Pa., Weibley graduated from Tennessee in 2011 with a degree in sport management.
