Nall Returns To North Baltimore -- August 24, 1999

Anita Nall, a 1992 Olympic gold, silver and bronze medalist, has decided to leave Arizona State University, where she is a senior, to train under her former coach, Murray Stephens at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club.

Nall, the American record-holder in the 200m breaststroke, will be focusing on that event in her attempt to make the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team. "It's difficult to leave Arizona, because I love it here," she said. "I love ASU, the people, the climate, my teammates and swimming for Mike (Chasson). But I have to do what I think will most likely bring me success next year, and that's returning to Murray (Stephens)."

Stephens was on vacation and was unavailable for comment.
