Taner, Kolbisen To Wed -- July 26, 1999

U.S. National Team members, Ugur Taner and Liesl Kolbisen, announced their engagement. Both were gold medalists at the USA Swimming Spring National Championships--Liesl in the 100m freestyle, Ugur in the 200m freestyle.

Liesl, a graduate of the University of Arizona, and Ugur, a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, both swim for the Hillenbrand of Tucson (HOT) Team.

The couple plan to wed on October 7, 2000--just after the Sydney Olympics.
