Three Month Suspension on Hall Upheld

A three-month ban on Olympic gold medalist Gary Hall Jr. for using marijuana has been upheld. A Court of Arbitration for Sport arbitration panel decided that FINA’s anti-doping rules had enough legal basis to punish athletes for using marijuana, including cases which came from out-of competition testing.

Hall tested positive in May 1998 and was banned in November.
